ZONE 1
In the first zone, the story begins with the migration of the Medang kingdom from Central Java to East Java, which became the forerunner for the formation of kingdoms in East Java such as Singosari, Majapahit, and so on.
In this first zone, there is an inscription called the Kamalagyan inscription. This inscription tells of the greatness of King Airlangga, the king of the Kahuripan kingdom, and the vastness of his territory, which stretched from Jenggala to Panjalu. Surabaya was part of the Jenggala region. An interesting fact from the Kamalagyan inscription is the explanation that King Airlangga's territory was a destination for captains and merchant ships from various islands. This proves that King Airlangga's territory was the main destination for traders in the archipelago.
